This year’s honorees invest in a broad array of organizations and their own initiatives that span affordable housing, recreation, green space and parks, access to exercise, fitness, health and wellness through a variety of efforts – for the benefit of all who live, work and play in our beautiful region.
Community Health Advocate Award Honorees
In light of recent fires, this year we also celebrate three special community Health Advocate Award Honorees: Sonoma County Supervisor James Gore, KSRO News Director Pat Kerrigan, and KBBF Spanish Language Radio President Alicia Sanchez. Nothing is more important for our physical, emotional and mental well-being than the stability and safety of our homes and families. The fires prompted us to pause and reflect upon those individuals and organizations that impacted our sense of safety and wellness. For many in the northern region of the county, comfort came in the form of special messages heard live through the day from these outstanding community leaders we honor on this day.
Past Wetzel Leadership Award Honorees Include: Henry & Holly Wendt, Jerry & Mary Lou Eddinger, Jim Silveria, Dick & Mary Hafner, Edward & Elizabeth Kozel, Tom & Kay Reed, John & Kim Lloyd, Herb & Jane Dwight, Karl, Nancy, Will & Brandy Seppi, Harry & Karen Bosworth Susan Graf, Mary ellen Smith, Barbara Gasseschi & Tony Crabb and the Brandt Family.
