POSITION: Community and Donor Engagement Specialist
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
JOB TYPE: Full Time, Exempt, Monday-Friday, 40+ hours a week, occasional evenings, and weekends.
Pay Range: $75,000-$90,000 annually depending on experience
About Us: The Healthcare Foundation Northern Sonoma County connects people and resources to promote health, including mental health, and wellness in underserved communities. We pursue this mission by supporting nonprofits and developing our own programs and initiatives in the areas of access to healthcare and mental healthcare, with a vision of eliminating health inequities in our region. Position Summary: As a Community and Donor Engagement Specialist you will be the heart and soul of our foundation’s outreach and fundraising efforts. You will work closely with our small team, our board and our network of community partners to create a positive social impact in northern Sonoma County. You will be critical to ensuring that our mission resonates with the community we serve and dedicated to sharing our mission with donors. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative, organized and motivated individual who wants to make a difference in their community while building their own development and program management skillset.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with individual and corporate donors, community groups, local government and other key stakeholders to convey mission, strategy and initiatives
- Donor Stewardship: Implement and manage stewardship plans, including personalized communications and in person site visits
- Community Outreach: Represent the organization at community events and speaking engagements.
- Database Management: Track and document donor interactions and donor giving in CRM database.
- Event Coordination: Assist in the planning and execution of special events includingfundraisers, cultivation dinners and community events.
- Communications and Marketing: Assist with newsletter communications, e-blasts, mailings, and social media content.
- Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks such as banking, notetaking, scheduling and project coordination.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Relationship Management: The ability to build rapport and foster lasting authentic connections.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and deadlines with limited oversight
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Docs, social media platforms and CRM databases.
- Interpersonal Skills: Proactive, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of local nonprofit sector highly desired.
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree required. Knowledge of Sonoma County philanthropic community and nonprofit sector.
