Peter McAweeney

A Cloverdale resident since 2000, Peter McAweeney brings diverse legal expertise and a deep commitment to strengthening underserved communities to the Healthcare Foundation board. After 25 years as a corporate litigator in San Francisco, Peter opened his own law firm in Cloverdale – PFM Law – where he practices exclusively in the areas of trusts, wills and estates, including estate planning, trust administration, probate, and charitable planned giving. Peter received a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Philosophy and Legal Studies and a Juris Doctorate (JD) from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Estate Planning, Trusts and Probate Law from Golden Gate University. Peter also serves on the Sonoma County Mental Health Board and has previously served on the board of the AIDS Legal Referral Panel in San Francisco and as a founding member and board chair of the East Bay Community Law Center in Oakland.
