A Night of Love for Northern Sonoma County
Noche de Amor lived up to its name! We sold every ticket to the July 9 event, raised critical funds to further health and well-being in our communities, and celebrated our collective accomplishments and power while hearing from the diverse voices of established and emerging community leaders.
Noche de Amor lived up to its name! We sold every ticket to the July 9 event, raised critical funds to further health and well-being in our communities, and celebrated our collective accomplishments and power while hearing from the diverse voices of established and emerging community leaders—all amid the lush and energizing strains of our outstanding musical guests, Jesús Díaz y Su Qba and Moníca María.
We were so pleased and inspired to hear from some of our wonderful Mental Health Talent Pipeline (MHTP) scholarship awardees, including two of the six-member MHTP cohort who joined the USF Santa Rosa graduating class of 2022. We’d like to pass along something Nallely Ramirez shared with us:
“I had the privilege of growing up in Windsor, to two hard-working parents who always emphasized the importance of my education, because that is something that no one could ever take away from me. That was something that would be mine and mine alone. But along with the emphasis on my education, they encouraged me to remember and know where I came from, to know where I’m going. Because in the Pueblo where my family is from, we have a saying: ‘Wherever we go, we go united.’ We give back. We return to our community to serve where we can.’”
None of what we do, including the Mental Health Talent Pipeline program, is possible without the support of our remarkably generous and compassionate community. Noche de Amor’s success demonstrates your trust in the Healthcare Foundation’s year-round health equity work, which aims to bring about the lasting change our region needs.
