Rachel Glitz

Rachel Glitz is passionate about expanding access to healthcare and educational opportunities in her community. She began her career in politics and government in Washington, D.C., working to ensure access to reproductive healthcare. After returning to California to earn her law degree, Rachel went on to spend over a decade practicing both healthcare and nonprofit law at the San Francisco office of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP and at McKesson Corporation, a Fortune 10 company, before shifting her focus to nonprofit work. She has extensive experience in program development and implementation, fundraising, and recruiting and managing volunteers. She has also served on numerous nonprofit boards and has advised on strategic planning at independent schools and nonprofits in California as well as Indonesia, where she lived for seven years.

Rachel is inspired to serve her community by creating and implementing strategic solutions to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency and growth of the organizations she serves. She recently assumed the role of Executive Director of Cancer Support Sonoma, a nonprofit delivering integrative, complementary therapies on a sliding scale to people who are facing cancer treatment, celebrating recovery or entering their end of life due to cancer.

Rachel received her Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Davis and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University. She and her husband have two children, Annabel and Charles, who are both in college – and a golden retriever, Dak, who is a breeder for Canine Companions for Independence.
