Courtney Cochran is Director, Public Relations and Communications for Fetzer Vineyards. Courtney oversees corporate, brand portfolio and sustainability communications for the nation’s 12th largest wine marketer. Fetzer Vineyards’ portfolio includes award-winning wines from California, Chile and Argentina as well as luxury rye whiskey from Kentucky Peerless Distilling Company. In 2017, Courtney led development of the first corporate responsibility report for Fetzer Vineyards, which was awarded a Momentum for Change award by the United Nations the same year for its pacesetting achievements in low-carbon business practices.
Prior to joining Fetzer Vineyards in December 2015, Courtney was a Communications Strategist at E&J Gallo Winery and founded HIP TASTES Communications in San Francisco, where she collaborated on communications and marketing initiatives for a variety of wine, fine beverage and technology clients. She holds a Sommelier Diploma from the International Sommelier Guild and is a Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers. She is the author of the awarded book, Hip Tastes: The Fresh Guide to Wine, published by Viking Studio, and imprint of Penguin Group, USA.
Courtney has been an active supporter of the Healthcare Foundation, as a Healthcare Hero and through her volunteer work on the marketing committee, and event marketing support. Courtney and her husband Ronald, and daughter Olympia live in Healdsburg.
